Who created the Shiba Inu coin?

For some time now, people have been wondering who is the founder of the Shiba Inu Coin. It has become a question that has been much debated this year.

Since its inception in August 2020, SHIB has received a lot of attention. The price has increased by millions of percent in a year and has made a large number of investors millionaires. But who is the creator of Shiba Inu?

Who made SHIB?

The creator of the Shiba Inu Coin goes by the name Ryoshi, but little else is known about the mysterious founder of the cryptocurrency. Like the founder of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, ryoshi is anonymous.

SHIB was first created in August 2020 as a decentralized meme token. After its inception, Ryoshi destroyed 50% of all SHIB to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Buterin has since donated his collection of SHIB and other “meme coins” to charities.

However, much of the updates to the Shiba ecosystem come from other people. One of these is Shytoshi Kusama, the volunteer project leader. Shytoshi is behind the announcements for many new SHIB projects, such as the Shiboshi NFTs and the upcoming Shiba Inu game.

However, Ryoshi’s vision is still central. Projects such as Shibarium, ShibaNet and the SHI stablecoin were all first conceived by Ryoshi in his various blog posts.

Who is Ryoshi?

Ryoshi’s identity is unknown until December 2021 and will likely remain so. On May 29, Ryoshi published a blog post on Ryoshi Research entitled ‘I AM Ryoshi’, in which the founder discussed his identity.

I’ve said from the start: I’m a nobody, I’m not important. Attempts to expose my ‘identity’, even if successful, would be disappointing. I’m just an insignificant guy tapping a keyboard and I’m expendable. I’m Ryoshi.

Ryoshi emphasized that SHIB is a pure, decentralized token that belongs to its community. Despite the enormous price increase in the past year, the founder says that he is not a millionaire.

“The reality is still that to this day I own 0 SHIB,” Ryoshi said. “I cannot be pure and unbiased when I am concerned about price rises and falls and profit taking.”

Of course, this hasn’t stopped people from speculating about Ryoshi’s identity.

One particular theory that is often mentioned stems from an image of Vitalik Buterin walking a Shiba Inu dog along with a group of friends. Because this image is also at the bottom of a Ryoshi Research blog post has been posted, many Reddit threads suggest that Ryoshi belongs to this group. However, this all remains speculation and for now Ryoshi’s identity is still unknown.
