Crypto exchange Bitmart hacked; $200 million gone

The cryptocurrency exchange Bitmart has been hacked. Hackers looted nearly $200 million during this cyberattack through a hot wallet compromise hosted via the Ethereum (ETH) and Binance Smart Chain blockchains.

Nearly $200 Million Stolen

The blockchain security and data analytics company called Peckshield Inc. came after the attack. Initially, she identified a transfer of about $100 million via the Ethereum blockchain. In addition, however, about $96 million in BSC reserves from the crypto exchange is also said to have been stolen. PeckShield announced this via a Tweet on Twitter.
